This is intended to assist residents with the disposal of debris resulting from minor repairs. Any material generated by a contractor is not acceptable. Lumber or metal cannot exceed 4 feet in length. Containers cannot weight more than 50 pounds.
Construction and Demolition Debris: Residential properties can may place one container of construction and demolition debris out for collection per week.No items containing “Freon” refrigerant may be placed at the curb. A mattress and box spring set are considered one item. The item must be of weight and size that two adults can carry. couch, mattress, table, car tire without the rim, etc.) will be collected each week. Items should be placed loose into the recycling cart.
Recyclable material must be clean and dry and CANNOT BE BAGGED. If the amount of recyclable material you generate exceeds the capacity of your container, a “RecycleOne” decal can be obtained from the city’s Department of Public Works for placement on any trash receptacle with a lid for collection. Trash cannot exceed the capacity of the provided trash cart.

Our drivers will be doing the routes during the night while streets are not blocked. Please make sure it’s out the night before and not blocked by vehicles. Villages of Ilion & Dolgeville (Thur pickup): Trash & Recycling will be picked up as usual on Thursday, November 24th, 2022. If you were not picked up, you can email our office at or call (315) 866-8820. Please leave your bins out so you do not get missed. If your trash and recycling were not picked up, please do not pull them back in. Some of our routes will be done throughout the night to ensure our drivers are able to spend Thanksgiving with their families. Please make sure it’s out Wednesday night before 11pm.
All private routes will have normal Trash & Recycling pick up on Thursday, November 24th, 2022.
